Unfortunately, the suffering mesothelioma (a form of cancer caused) by people exposed to asbestos have a rather poor prognosis. There is currently no cure for mesothelioma, and once the disease is diagnosed, usually little time to live patients. Without treatment, mesothelioma is fatal within seven to 56 months. New forms of treatment have been developed and tested repeatedly, however, and there are indications that patients in more healthyAt diagnosis, the greater the life expectancy of the patient.
There are cases where patients have experienced the treatment as long as five or ten years, but this is very rare. Even under treatment, most people survive on less than a year, and often only a few months after their diagnosis of mesothelioma. Recent studies show that years of life about 10% of the victims in at least three of their diagnosis and 5% got five years.
One of the reasonsThe prognosis is so bad that such a long period of time that elapses between exposure of a person to asbestos and the onset of mesothelioma. There may be several decades before symptoms of mesothelioma are beginning to show in a person. One study showed that with mesothelioma caught and treated at an early stage, 50% of patients survived two years and 20% got five years, but unfortunately it is very difficult to detect the disease early. The factthat the symptoms of mesothelioma can be so easily confused with other conditions to further delay a proper diagnosis of mesothelioma in most cases.
